1. Klaatu (/ ˈ k l ɑː t uː /) was a Canadian rock group formed in by the duo of John Woloschuk and Dee Long. They named themselves after an alien who visits Earth in the film The Day the Earth Stood Still. After recording two non-charting singles, drummer Terry Draper was added to the line-up; this trio would constitute Klaatu throughout the rest of the band's recording career.

4. A couple years ago I almost bought the Capital Klaatu/Klaatu Hope combo CD, but I didn't like the price. I'm so glad now that I didn't buy it then. I first heard Klaatu's debut on an 8-track tape with a friend of a friend's stereo in his car, parked in their garage way back in '76, or early '/5(29).
